Call direct to find out. I checked their website once and got there to find they were closed.
They don't.
They do close for a few weeks for when they go to Poland on holiday.
Delicious food!
Absolutely fabulous!!!! I want to know if they cater???
Had a wonderful home cooked meal there. Visiting from San Antonio, Tx. The cabbage rolls very good. The dumplings delicious. Loved the cucumber and yogurt and sour kraut . enjoyed the meal and the owners. 😃❤
The food here is amazing and you get a ton of it. The atmosphere and the friendly outgoing nature of the people working here are phenomenal as well. You absolutely must eat here when you are in the Wisconsin Dells.
Great place, nice menu. Everything we order tasted great. There was not too many people there and it is probably they don't know what they are missing by not trying the food. I am sure if the owners place some nice pictures of some of the items the have it would bring more customers. Loved the place and will come again if we are in town.
The food was amazing and authentic better than the frozen pieorgies the bigos z kielbasa was amazing The people who own Edytka are wonderful people god bless those people
So delicious! So glad we stopped by here! We had the order of Pierogies, we did half Cheese & Potato and the other half Kraut & Mushrooms--they were very good. Super soft and full of flavor. We also had the order of Potato Pancakes ("Placki Ziemniaczane") and they were perfect!!! So crispy and well made. They tasted great with the sour cream, and we ordered a large side of apple sauce to go with them. We also had the Toasted Bread, Cheese, & Mushroom ("Zapiekanka") and it tasted like a really light, crispy pizza--it came with a pickle, and it was really good as well. The Mushroom Soup was so delicious, probably one of my favorite foods here, and it really tied the whole meal together. We even dipped the Potato Pancakes into the Mushroom Soup, and it was SO good. The service here is really wonderful. Everything here was really wonderful, so delicious, and just perfect:)
Amazing restaurant, I loved how authentic and delicious the food was! We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, but are so glad we did. The food was amazing, the establishment was nicely decorated and I loved every second we were here! The employees were super nice and polite, and the food was prepared very fast. I will definitely come here again, and I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for good food!
The food was very good. We tried the perogies...saurkraut/mushroom, the meat, and potatoes and cheese...also the cabbage rolls. Authentic, tasty Polish food...if not pretty presentation. The atmosphere is not wonderful, kind of stuffy and when we first got there the music was way too loud. I would go again for the food, just wish I was more comfortable there.
Great polish food prices are great too def a return place
The food was delicious. Even my husband enjoyed it and he is not Polish. I would recommend this to anyone that visits the Dells especially if you're of the Polish heritage.
Their pierogis and potato dumplings are the best I’ve ever had! Generous portion sizes and such friendly service. Family run business that I will always recommend!
A hidden gem in plain sight. Very big portion sizes. We always box our leftovers for later. Excellent food. Friendly service from a literal Family Restaurant.Edith's Special is a tasty sample of everything. I don't care for soup, but you really can't go wrong with any of the polish dishes here. If you have picky eaters there is typical summer food on the menu.Sometimes a bit tricky to hear while ordering with the music speaker next to the desk during the tourist season.
Really good Polish food in the heart of the Dell's. Was happy to find it open in the off season.
If you ever had polish food this is very mediocre. The food comes out separately. We had a party of 4 adults and 3 kids and everyone's food came out separately. My wife's cabbage rolls were cold inside. The red beet soup was ok, but everything else was not. Very salty and not very fresh. Upfront receptionist is just a kid...not much experience at restaurant industry (he did know the menu well though). Inside is not decorated and feels cheap.
Loved it. The food was simply delicious. The beer was cold. Perfect!
If you love Polish food, you'll love this place. Friendly service too.
Authentic Polish food , the cabbage rolls are awesome, potato and cheese pierogies very good. The polish dog is huge . Prices are reasonable.
This is the first place I tried polish food and I wasn’t dissatisfied. Yum!
Food was very good a lot of variety on one ate as well would definitely go back
A nice change from the usual, right on the main Street. Pierogis, crispy potato pancakes and Polish beer.
What a wonderful place! Two menus, one with American favorites, I had a burger & fries, and one in Polish - my daughter had "Potato Dumplings Covered with Goulash". Both were delicious. The Chicken Fillets were good and big. Fries were good, as was the sauerkraut slaw. Large open dining room was clean provided a simple basic comfortable environment. Service was good, but it took a while for the burgers as they said they were made from scratch(?) Prices were high - it's the Dells- but they had hotdogs on sale for 2.99 and sausages for 3.99. Would go again just to try another of the true polish recipes.
Good food. Huge portions. It is family owned. Extremely friendly woman who does the cooking. Highly recommend you try this place and come hungry!!
I like Polish food, but this restaurant is near the top of my list for ANY food lover! I recommend the sampler platters so you can try a lot of specialties. So savory and delicious, I ate way too much because it was all so good!
We had farmers cheese pierogis, sauerkraut & mushroom pierogis and cabbage rolls and they were fantastic. Homemade and delicious. Very nice people working here as well. We will be back!!
We had an order of pierogies (half meat, half cheese) and an order of potato pancakes, and that was a ton of food. Everything was amazing. We had a guy in the party who won’t eat potatoes, and he had a potato pancake. It’s a small place and family run, which is refreshing in the madness of the Dells, and the hand made care really showed through. My biggest regret is that we had eaten so much junk at the rest of the Dells that we didn’t have room to get a whole lot more food here. If you’re lucky enough to be close enough to get some, go there and eat.
Just a fantastic authentic family owned restaurant. The food is delicious. Stop in for a very yummy lunch. The pieroges are delicious, the fresh made crepes are amazing.
This place is awesome. I can't wait till I can go back. This is the best restaurant in Wisconsin dells!
The best food I had
We were excited to try this place while in Dells but left disappointed. We were 4 adults and 3 children in our party. Everyone's food came out separately. My kids started eating and our friend kid was waiting for another 7-8 minutes asking when his food is coming. They forgot my cabbage rolls and they came after everyone else we're done eating. Worst thing was that inside of cabbage rolls was cold. I told the kid at the register but he didn't even apologize. We were dining at about 3:30 pm. They already were out of daily soup. We took red borsch soup which was tasting good but very salty. Most of other food was very salty as well.
Awesome. We stopped in the Dells after our boundary waters trip to break up our ride home. I'm Polish and grew up in Chicago area. Moved to Phoenix and had an amazing little Polish restaurant. Moved to central Illinois and there's nothing. Saw this on Google when planning our stay and knew we had to stop for lunch on our way out of town. The pierogies were to die for. Made fresh with delicious options. We had potato and cheese and the beef/pork. Fantastic! I'm not sure if dough is made in house but it was absolutely amazing. My husband also had a Polish sausage and the sausage was very tasty and tasted authentic. They top it however you want it! I hope to visit next year on our way home again! Oh, and make sure to enjoy a Polish beer!
The food was SO GOOD here. Quiet place, friendly staff. Clean dining area.
So disappointed. We drove an hour and a half to have lunch because the food looked amazing and the reviews were good. We got there at 11 a.m. that is the time it says it opens. Well we sat there for a half hour and they still hadn't opened. Went and talked to another business owner and she said it is just hit and miss when they are open so I guess today was a day they chose not to open.😟
It was a great place! Friendly staff and delicious food!
Very good Polish restaurant (my husband came over from Poland) we had cabbage rolls and peirogi!! Highly recommend ++
I wish I took photos! The people are wonderful! They serve real Borscht! Also the kids listened top me rant about the forgotten glory of the Polish Air Force. Their kielbasa is to die for! I mean your can't beat polish food made by poles! Easily the most enjoyable part of a visit to Wisconsin Dells.
Great food definitely will eat again here . Low review is for not paying attention to the comments for the food and that’s for the third time , I hate cleaning my food for 30 min from onions and tomatoes when specifically ask for no onions and no tomatoes.
An hour from Madison but well worth the trip. The Borscht soup is as good as it gets especially with the small dumplings offering an explosion of flavor floating in there. A generous amount of dill finishes off a perfect dish. And as for the pierogi - comfort food doesn’t get any better than this. We met the whole family who all work in the restaurant and they were all lovely. If only somebody was playing the vintage Wurlitzer organ that sites near the bar I would have been transported back into Eastern Europe.
This was our second visit to Edytka's. We have had excellent food both times. The owners and staff are friendly and the food comes out quickly. If you are looking for authentic Polish food, this is the place!
This place is truly a family affair - order with mom, cooked by dad, and served by son! The owners were very friendly and accommodating, and the food was truly remarkable: fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. It was a great value for the cost. We found it passing through on a road trip, but it is worth the 2.5 hour drive from home. We'll definitely be back and probably soon!!
Heard great things about this restaurant so a couple of friends and I took a 100 mile ride to try it out. What can I say but it was worth the trip. True family place, kids work the front and Mom does the cooking. We ordered 3 different dishes and split between the 3 of us. Best home cooking around!
We have lived in Wisconsin for a few years now. Never did we think that we would find good Polish food out here. Let me tell you. Edytka's is the real deal. Very good, very authentic. Priced well. Try it if you are in the area.
Best polish sausage and best food too homenade from poland
We have eaten here a few times over the past couple years, and it is usually really good. I had a breaded chicken cutlet and it was pretty salty. The potato pancakes had a good flavor, but were really greasy. The pickled beet salad was delicious!
Five of us dined there sharing three dinners and an order of crepes allowing a lot taste testing. We brought home enough leftovers for someone with a large appetite!! Everything was delicious but the Hungarian pancake was the most favored by all. The crepes were my next favorite. So much food that I recommend sharing!!
Seriously the best polish food. Every time I come in from Chicago I have to stop in for the pyzy! 😍
This was one of those meals where I went in with moderately high expectations and the meal managed to vastly exceed those expectations. I split the Polski Talerz (sampler plate) with my wife and it was great. The Hunter's Stew was sublime and the cabbage pierogies may be the best I've eaten. I wasn't a huge fan of the Cabbage Roll as it mainly tasted of gravy. In the tourist bonanza that is Wisconsin Dells, Edytka's stands above the rest. Don't go in expecting the food ready to go, it is actually cooked. There is an American menu for token Americans but we just set that aside.
Oh my...... heard about Edytka’s on a foodie Facebook group. Definitely the BEST Polish food I’ve had. We had the cabbage rolls, pierogi (meat and the potato and cheese) bigos, and polish sausage. All of it was outstanding. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. We will be driving the 2 1/2 hours from our house just to have lunch or dinner there in the very near future- well worth the trip!
Best Polish restaurant in Wisconsin! If you're looking for authentic Polish food and great hospitality come here. Their cheese Perogis are amazing and potato dumplings with bacon are so good!
Good food and staff was nice.
